The Moon

            The moon is one of the biggest factors that we need for life. Back when the earth was still forming we captured our over sized moon. When we captured the moon, it was a lot closer to earth than it is now. As you may know the the moon is the cause for ocean waves. The moon’s gravity pulls on the ocean, that is why we have waves. But back when the moon was closer it’s gravity was stronger on the earth. Right now we measure the waves by feet, if the moon was still that close to earth we would measure it in miles. It would be like huge tsunamis every time their was a wave. When the moon was that close it was actually a good thing, it helped mix in all of the chemicals and minerals to help create life. You may think that the moon is a dead rock, but in some recent research we have seen the moon have some explosions. In order to have explosions you need heat energy, and a planet is alive if it has energy.
